Message That is kind of funny. I seen a few tunes from another well known vendor that do the same thing. Fuel map and knock fuel map are the same. Timing and knock timing are the same. 5th gear maps are the same as their counterparts, too. So there's basically just two maps in use: fuel and timing.

I don't remember where I heard it, but I have heard that the ECU will dynamically pull timing when it detects detonation, and only after sustained detonation (ie, running hard on 87), will it switch to the knock map. I've also heard of the knock and regular maps referred to as low octane and high octane maps, respectively, which sort of supports this. If this is true, it doesn't render the knock sensor totally worthless, but it's obviously not as safe as the stock setup :(
