Message Copper HGs are good however there is a lot more involved in utilizing them. You will need to O-ring the deck and receiver groove the heads. This bead locks the gasket into position once tq'd down. It also ensures the seal between heads and block using the copper material.

A few things to know about using copper though. It has an extensive expansion rate so when the gasket is cold..you may experience coolant leaks due to the gasket shrinking. You also run the risk of blowing the gaskets out if not assembled and utilized correctly. The install procedure is pretty detailed in using silicone around each coolant galley hole both top and bottom of the gasket...and even then its not a guarantee you'll get the gasket to seal.

My suggestion is if you are driving this car mainly on the street and weekend warrior it in racing events the stock headgaskets work fine of if you step up to an MLS style opt for the Tomei variant. I don't suggest running them in a street application. The majority of individuals who run copper style gaskets are dedicated racing applications where they never see street driving and extensive heat cycles.

Good luck with your build. If you have any questions feel free to email me.

BTW....you can use copper spray adhesive coating on the composite OEM gaskets...works great but if you step up to the MLS series DO NOT use copper on those. It interferes with the rubber coating they apply to the outter skins from the factory.
