pointless, to make the intake side of the turbos bigger and leave the exhaust side, the hot side, the same size also seems like a waste. You can get good gains with the exhaust only upgrade, but I have a hard time believing that the inverse is true. If someone would like to reveal some data showing that the entire intake upgrade is worth the expense even with full 2.5" exhaust on stock turbos, then I'll gladly accept my premise as being wrong, I doubt you'll find anyone who has bothered making this mod path choice though, for the very reasons I already mentioned. To me this is an all-or-nothing upgrade if you still have 2.5" exhaust. Not cheap.
