| My TT has 140K miles and needs some maintenance. I need some advise of the best route to take. I love the car and all I do is change the oil every 5 months. Compression is about 120ish in all cylinders. I don’t track the car, so compression is manageable but it would be nice to have some more pep. I have a 120K kit ready to install. I could just do the kit and hope for the best… I can buy an NA shortblock that is supposed to be rebuilt for $300. Can I put the 120 kit on the NA engine and just swap it in? I know they have different compression ratios so I don’t know… Should I gamble on a front clip from Japan?
Should I wait till something comes up in classifieds that can help me? I am going to do a bunch of work. Fix a radiator leak and replace all rubber hoses. I only want to spend around 2-3 thousand to get the car in decent shape again. Any advise on what else to do while I am fixing things would be greatly appreciated. Stock turbos too : (
