| it wasnt like that before I took everything apart, BUT I also cant say for 100% certainty that it was properly set to 15 base timing either, although the car ran pretty healthy at the drag strip in that configuration. I set my timing off of the PTU loop during the winter IIRC, not knowing about the discrepancies many have seen between it and the #1 coil wire, 15* left the CAS fairly close to center. I recently read about the innaccuracy of the PTU loop and rechecked it at the #1 coil wire, and sure enough, it was actually at ~5* timing, car was running sluggish as hell too. I reset the timing off the #1 coil wire to 15* and now the CAS is turned almost 100% to the right. I saw another post about this that IIRC talked about this happening after installing dual pop's (like myself), and the idle being slightly high, causing this CAS phenomenon to occur. I plan to swap out my TB's which have never been correct since powdercoating, and re-examine things then. IIRC the poster said that once he got his idle sorted out, the CAS returned to a normal position near center when set to 15*. Does this make sense to anyone?
