Message It's my understanding that the plumbing arrangement of the Z32 water cooling system does not allow for coolant to continue to circulate after the engine and water pump have been shut down. This is why it's recommended to drive conservatively prior to shutdown so coolant can continue to flow through both the turbos and an air fed radiator.

My Subaru daily driver, continues to circulate coolant to the turbos as long as there's a temperature imbalance which causes convection, even after the engine has shut down. There's a second coolant reservoir specifically located higher in the bay than the turbo itself just for this purpose.
