Message When I bought my TT recently, I paid a relatively higher price to get a Z that had documented history on this site, had plenty of respectable mods (nothing too crazy), and under 70,000 miles on the clock. The exterior/interior/mechanical are all in incredible condition for the age and I am being very honest when I say I could not be happier with my choice.

If you want to go the SlicktopTT route, be warned that means you will have to acquire any mods you want separately, likely raising your budget considerably. You will also have to source all the TT-swap material, and that can be pricey if not found in a JDM clip. I generally do not recommend JDM engines as you honestly do not know what you are getting. There are members here who have had issues with their JDM block, but then again there are also members who had no issues at all. You have to be very careful selecting your engine. Compression tests are key.

I do not believe you have to spend a lot of money to get a very nice TT these days, although I know I probably spent more than most would. To me it was worth it. I never had another car in the classifieds stand out so much to me, and I just had to have it. If you have not read my recent posts, I recommend you take a quick read. Somehow purchasing my Z turned into a mini vacation and I met a bunch of fellow members of this site. It was definitely an experience I will never forget, and will always think of it when I look at my TTZ.

I have seen some recent TTs in the classifieds here that I can point out to you if you want. They may be fairly upper-budget, or outside your area, but most sellers are at least slightly negotiable (especially when travel arrangements have to be considered), and traveling to purchase the right Z for you is very worth it in the end. It took me 17 hours to drive my new TT home from Cincinnati to Montreal (including border time), but it was all worth it in the end.

If you want to know more about what I paid for my TT, or what my budget was etc, feel free to email me and I will discuss it with you privately.
