Message My understainding of TD (and I presume you are talking about the graphite based ceramic coating?) is that it promotes heat exchange.

Considering the ambient under bonnet temps are well inexcess of inlet temps, I actually went with cermakrome on the lower and upper plenums to help prevent heat soak. I understand the suggestion for TD based on pulling heat out of the intake tract, but if the surrounding air is hotter then you're not going to get any heat dispersion.

I am using a TD coating on the intercooler (front mount) and all of the intercooler piping in front of the radiator (where it is getting airflow). Everything else (turbo inlets/outlets, intercooler piping, throttle body piping, plenums) has been done in cermakrome.

Yes those are MSP pipes.

Intercooler, note the piping in/out has been done in black TD coating since this shot was taken.
