Message As for a primary purpose in this case that is subjective to the goal of the end user.

..but if you ask me personally Id say its a tie between reduced cost ($ per hp) and the benefits of opening the floodgates to allow a myriad of new turbo options into the z32 engine bay.


Sure this routing would allow you to bolt on a Gt47 (to those so bold) but there is no reason why you couldnt put a smaller single on and go for a fast spooling 500- 600rwhp ( a single Gt35r for instance).


Theres also the convenience of being able to swap turbos in a matter of minutes rather than hours.

Traditionally, if you want to stay with cast manifolds then you are stuck with internal wastegates and smaller turbine housings.

And if you want to get exotic turbos (well,exotic to the 300zx) or external wastegates you need to have custom manifolds made.

Now, you have the option of piping straight out of your stock or hi flow cast manis straight to a single turbo.
