to my NA besides nos and its still a 15sec car. I need somthing with potential.
: To be honest I was a little hesitant to post this. It seems in the past few days the pickings on the Beltway have been rich, maybe a little too rich to be believable, but I kid you not, that's how it's been. First there was the NOS SS Z28 a few days ago, than yesterday a ZR1 C4, and today it was a blown 5.0 mustang. With the C4 I was just motoring along at 65 when out of the corner of my eye I see something pull up beside me and start to pace. As soon as I look over the jerk punches it. It's a ZR1 with the standard blue body with the big white stripes. My first reaction was to do nothing. He had not given me a chance to start even, and I really didn't want to turn this into a 160 mph speed run. But then it hit me, it's a ZR1. By then he had about 8 lengths on me, and with a clear road ahead I found third and off I went. By fourth gear I had caught him and proceeded to pass. When I got about three lengths in front he gave up and faded fast. Than today Im at a light when I hear the tell tail sound of a blower pulling up behind me. It's a black late 80's, I guess, 5.0. The same style the highway patrol use to have. This part of the Beltway is not finished yet. There are parts where you are on what will be the feeder so there are some lights. It's a guy and his wife Im guessing, and I am not the first at the light. In fact there is quit a bit of traffic. The light turns green, we go, but unlike someone that wants to run you, he not like on my ass looking for a chance. In fact, we just go along normally for about 6 miles, until we hit a part that is the freeway, an it widens to five lanes. I was in front of him at that point when all of a sudden in my rearview I see him punch it and coming up fast. But I'm ready for him, hit third,(don't you just LOVE that gear?) He makes it up to about my rear quarter panel when I just start to leave him. By forth gear he's way back there. For some reason, I just could not resist hitting my flashers..hehe.
