Message Any fine metal polish works great for plastics.. (like mothers billet).. but plastic specific polishes work great too.
I used to get some "gunk" from my stock TT wing rotting and "dripping" on the Jspec tails.. I took it off cleanly with a clay bar. then followed up with some mother's polish.. Looked brand new afterward.
