Here is a photo of the clip you are dealing with. Notice the ears on either side (red arrow). These are springy and grab the sheet metal when you pop the rear lens in place. Unfortunately needle nose are pretty much useless, unless you have some with an expandable pivot (otherwise they contact the body of the clip and do not compress the ears). Best way to get them out is to use a plastic tool (something which wont scratch) to VERY GENTLY pry outward on the lens, just next to the clip. Then take your fingertip and press in on the ear. You will feel it release. Then do the same on the other side of the clip. Then do the same on the other clip (two on each side). Work your way across, from one side to the other. Make sure the clip does not pop back into the hole while you are working on the others. It helps to have an assistant, but I have done a handful of these by myself. Should take about 10 mins. Just be careful and patient and you can save the lens and the clips.
