So after a long winter and lots to do to the Z, it finally paid off. It all started at the end of last summer with the purchase of the Selin kit that became a total nightmare, it worked well for all of 60 minutes then it was hell for 2-3 weeks, replacing IACV regulator, IACV-ACC Valve, TPS, fuel pressure reg, fuel damper, for all new OEM parts from my local Nissan dealer because I was loosing faith with the vendor and still nothing. The vendor I went with for the Selin kit sent me new MAFs (knock-offs) since the "USED" OEM wasn't working either. Just by coincidence Tony (BigTDogg) was getting his Selin kit right around the time of my nightmare and offered to swap his Selin translator and still no go.At that point I just had it and came to the conclusion that the Selin kit wasn't for my Z. I was able to return the Selin kit and MAF's to the vendor and in exchange got some suspension items which ended up being double of the my original expense but at least the vendor was nice enough to take the items back. So I went with a new Carbing FST brace (go ahead say something about my FST bar Linsen.. you know it all lil' bitch!!), Powertrix front upper control arms, adjustable end links for my F&R Stillen sway bars, SPL V.3 rear upper control arms and new Nismo bushings which BTW wasn't bad to replace (thanks for your input Woody). So after some consideration and email exchanges between Greg @ SZ I went ahead and purchased the Selin kit.. again. This time I was very skeptical but still open minded. I got an OEM MAF which Greg mentioned that he had it in his Blue Z32 for a few days before shipping it to me (just the thought of having a car part that once was in his beast of a Z gave me a stiffy). Now the time was near with one week to go for our "Northeast Dyno Day with SZ" I have to say that Greg and Seb are probably the most knowledgeable and humble Z32 guys I've ever met. So I'm ready to test the Selin kit, got a new OEM battery and cranked my baby up.. while still up on stands, car iddled great and just figured.. well my nightmare is over "LONG LIVE THE SELIN KIT!!" I rolled the car out of the garage and take it for a spin, now is 12 midnight on Friday, a week before the Dyno, turn the headlights on and my Selin nightmare is back.. F'ing great!!! could not even make it out of the driveway. I talked to Tony and he mentioned that some people have had issues with some HID kits due to the RF frequency they put out and it affects the Selin translators, I purchased the Phillips HID's from Bernie a few years ago and have never given me a problem. So I emailed Greg the following week to weight in my options and he mentioned to wrap the ballasts which are now installed under the headlight buckets with aluminum foil. Since I wanted something more permanent, durable and thicker aluminum gauge I searched and found something similar to Dynamat at Home Depot (exterior roof flashing with butyl backing) So that did somewhat the trick but still causing some iddle issues if I turn the headlights on while the car is running. To go around that I noticed that if I turn the HID's on THEN turn the car on after the lights warm up it works fine. So I'm thinking to wrap the translator also until Jim Selin comes out with his V3 translator which I understand he's in the process and will be shielded. (I'm in front of the line for the new type so back off bitches!!! LOL) Our Dyno weekend comes and Greg and Seb landed in Boston while I was at a local shop, Autobahn Performance getting a new alignment (street/autocrossing) which is a bit more agressive than OEM specs with a little more tire wear on the inside but I don't care, I want to have an excuse to replace my very old Bridgestone S03's. Car corners nicely with the new set up (Eibach springs, OEM TT struts, F&R ST braces, and everything else mentioned above) and was able to put it to the test that Friday night with the spanking of a 997 CarreraS which looked and sounded stock, the guy followed me for 4 miles to my exit without a change, not sure if he just didn't want to push his $80+ Porsche but to me it was a good feeling. Now is Dyno day and we head over to New England Dyno in Worcester (pronunce Woostah), met up Tony at the Hotel to pick up Greg and Seg, Greg wanted to ride with me which I truelly felt honored (NO BS HERE!!) but didn't think that a 80+ yr old dude in front of the Hotel was going to try to hijack my Z, so I took matters into my own hands since I didn't want the slightest bruise on Greg, the dude held my door open while complimenting the car and with a quick Latino move I was able to subdue this vintage car predator and closed my door.. and off we go!!. Californians are no use to this kind of Northeast hospitality (sarcasm). We get to the shop and I go first, so not to bore you all on this beautiful Friday morning here are some pictures... Ask all you want and I'm do my best to answer, but before that I would like to thank first and foremost Tony for putting this event together and being a true friend, Bernie Bilski for answering every stupid question I asked him and his flawless customer service, I bought the second Pop from him as well as numerous other parts, Greg and Seb from Specialty Z.. you guys excessed all my expectations, ArubaDave for his amazing quality products and customer service, John at NEDyno for his hospitality, Jim Selin for such great product and TT.Net and it's members for all it's education with the Z32's. PLEASE NOTE PICTURES ARE NOT IN ANY ORDER!!

I hit 50K while on the Dyno
