People here will tell you about how much it kills resale and how you can't defrost the windows as well in the rain if you remove it. However, the Z market has tanked and these cars aren't worth much anyways and I literally never drive in the rain and likely never will. It's purely a personal choice. The AC is easy to remove, but a pain to reinstall, so it's a commitment at that point. I turned mine on last fall just to make sure it still worked and then turned it right back off. It yields a lot of weight savings and a lot of extra space up front.
