Message After SeedyROM's recent SV post
and with my Hagerty insurance expiring soon, I decided to take another look at a Grundy SV policy.

I inquired online [ http://www.grundy.com/collector-ins/ ] and got their application. For cars of the Z32's vintage the annual rate on the standard online application is $1.40 per hundred dollars of valuation, with liability options costing an additional of 30 to $35.

I decided to increase the insurance on my TT from 20 to 23k and ended with an annual premium of $355, a savings of $193 over Hagerty in spite of the extra $3,000 in coverage.

If you've been refused coverage by either Hagerty or Grundy in the past few years, you might want to inquire again. As recently as two years ago, neither company would write a policy for my car. Since then nothing has changed significantly in my driving record, location, age, etc. A year ago I was turned down by Hagerty online only to find that their local agent could get me covered. And now Grundy is insuring my car. So, if my experience is any guide, these companies have changed their coverage criteria.
