Message Did you set the tire pressure to 9.5psi after they were warmed up or when cold?

~I had been running much more tire pressure & I was having great difficulty getting traction. I talked with Dean & Greg about my setup and I got some good advise as to a target rage I should be shooting for. I adjusted around in that level and settled @ 9.5. The lower the pressure the more squarely the car gets @ the the higher mph. I set it while is the staging lane while waiting on my turn. I noticed around 1psi fluctuation from when I was in the pits right after the run to when I was in staging.

Launch control?

~No launch control. No boost per RPM. No 2-step. Just the SZ tune on the stock ECU & lots of practice. I'm working on my consistency & have a ways to go. But that's part of the fun.

What rpm are you launching at?

~Around 6,500RPM. Again I'm working on my consistency & technique.

Last time I lowered my tire pressure below 13psi(warm) I would bog out. I was only launching at 5000rpms though. That was also before all of the breather mods/tune and was likely in the low 300hp range.

~You new setup will be completely different. I Bog every now and again, but its more me not the car. You target launch and shift points can be determined well off of your dyno graph. I'm betting you can launch higher, but I'm no expert. It also depends on what clutch you are using.

Where did you get your q16 at? I need to find a place to buy some before May.

~ I get mine at a local VP & fuel distributor Western States Petroleum. Something like $70 for 5 gallon jug! Maybe I will switch to E85 in the future, lol. SZ has a 55 gallon drum, if they don't sell it they can direct you to who does. Whats going on in May?
