First of all, the factory published HP specs are at the flywheel, not at the rear wheels, so horsepower is lower when measured on the car. Second, pretty sure published specs for 1990 TT's should be 300 HP, not 280. However, dont live by the numbers, as they are just for comparison. Even wheel drive dynos have varying output values between them (as has been discussed ad nauseum on here). Thats why you should try to use the same dyno, or at least the same model when using a dyno for comparison. Third, don't underestimate the power of the boost leak. Finally, why would you run a dyno without having the car in good tune??
