| :As for the machine work tolerances.. do you have any info that you think will be useful for that? I've only used 4032 pistons, so I don't have much to offer here. Piston coatings will help to reduce heat flow into the piston, which will lessen the need to open up the clearances :I remember back in the day, I used to hear alot about people using Z31 rod/main bearings.. I believe it was Z31 rod and Z32 mains. I did this on maglito's motor after he blew his SGP motor And also I have heard some people machining the stock z32 crank to accept larger/wider bearings.. I don't recommend this mod because it requires a very tight fillet radius on the rod journal which can lead to very high stress concentrations :Right now, I am in the planning and homework stages.. I just want to be ready when the time comes.. :) Cool :)
