Message Miles just brought to my attention that there's a post on here regarding the new diffuser design so I'm here to answer some of the posted questions.

I have just seen the several posts about our diffuser designs in the last few months, and not counting the truly unproductive lame remarks, some of you have some points that I can hopefully shed some light on.

First off the picture show of the car is in its static state and not in motion. It sits a bit lower once its in motion and even more during high speed. You are correct in mentioning the shorter stakes. The reason for that is (it is also a street car) It goes to shows and events and during "street mode" some of the parts are changed so entering and exiting even shallow driveways is possible. Milo's Diffuser will have the full setup.

As far as the "double element" you mention, you need to keep this in mind. Simtec Motorsports is a research and development shop doing what we do for you and every other Z enthusiast out there. We are on the same team. If you dont think outside the box and occasionally try new designs, you will never be at the forefront of development but at the tail end. We have achieved tremendous gains from the R&D in our tuning, doing some things that we were told were not doable. It takes alot of effort, ALOT of burned up time, and a willingness to try and try again until you succeed. Unfortunately sometimes we strike out as well as hit some home runs. But if you don't fall once in a while, it just means you are playing it safe...and nobody wins while "playing it safe".

That being said, This design is a new concept and has huge potential. We have done some preliminary tests but it is still under testing. This particular version is not yet available for sale. The reason Miles is getting one is due to our sponsorship agreement. The Option 1 which is basically the top half of this unit IS however ready to sell.

The exhaust on the car ends right before the rear diff. On production models we will (in the next couple months) offer up an exhaust unit that will exit (only the pipes) through to the rear and the mufflers will be located in ahead of the diff. Balance transfer and too much rear turbulence by the mufflers are the reason for the relocation.

On a side note: to anyone interested in seeing the Z community and tuner parts continue to grow, it would be really cool to hear more encouraging words from from you to guys like myself and the many other visionary shops who put in countless hours only to help give you options and upgrades that are up to date. This can sometimes be a thankless job and Ultimately we do this for the love of our cars and the hobby ...just like you guys. Theres a handful of shops out there like myself who Do think outside the box, and theres alot more to winning races and staying at the forefront then HP numbers on the Dyno.

The reason I even began to offer up these parts was requests from other Z guys after seeing the improvements in handling and wanting similar setups. Its not for everyone as they are far more functional that aesthetic and truly a piece for "drivers". But the aesthetics, although 2nd in importance, has been given a great amount of detail to then you would think at first glance. This has been an ongoing improving design, and currently is at a point where it is a considerable improvement over stock. ...and after all, that is everyones goal on here isn't it?

Everyone also needs to keep in mind, that when designing our current "aero mods" we have to take into consideration the cars already perfect body lines and make something that will not stray too far Without compromising the Function it was intended for. As much as it may seem that we far outweigh function over aesthetic appeal, that would simply be incorrect.

I apologize for the lengthy writeup but there was alot to cover.

Thanks to those of you who have been supporters and keep checking back for more new products.

Craig
