Message I need your opinions/thoughts guys...

I am considering designing In-line oil filters for our turbo oil feed lines, Which will possibly go to for a GROUP BUY, Depending on interest.
I have spent about 4 hrs of researching, finding SO many different options etc.. and I think I have narrowed it down.

The setups will most likely incorporate...

--Two serviceable, 20 to 40 micro in-line oil filters (one for each turbo) (which only need to be cleaned, not replaced)

--.035" restrictors (GT28R,GT28RS, GT2871R, GT3071, etc)

-- 2 piece -4AN SS braided oil feed lines (4 lines total)
(Will replace stock hard lines)

--ALL Necessary fittings,crush washers etc.

--I am also planning on fabricating some brackets to secure the in-line filters.

I need to know which you guys think you would rather prefer..

The filters mounted up higher, toward the engine bay to service/clean or down underneath near the turbo area to make the lines a little shorter which can be serviced when under vehicle changing engine oil.

While, I do not think making the lines a little longer to reach engine bay will adversely effect anything.. I think it may be best to keep them shorter. I am not sure which would be the best bet.. now would be a good time for some to chime in..

I will be purchasing some things to get this started but will need to do some tests to ensure there aren't any problems.

Please let me know of any thoughts!

I have not come up with any solid dollar amount estimates yet.. I will keep you updated when I purchase a setup for my own Z.

After conducting my research, I have found that this would really help prolong the life of our turbochargers.. As long as the filter elements are on a preventative maintenance schedule, there should not be any issues. It will ensure that the turbo will only "see" oil that have no contaminants.

I will be doing this to help the Z community out.. not out to make fat pockets.

Thanks!
