the z has continually overwhelmed my life since i've had it. on a college student's budget, it was really a major drain. every time i spend a few hundred on it, i found something else to fix. it never ended! i truly did end up with a basket-case. so from time to time i've posted it up on CL with an optimistic price just seeing if someone would take me out of my misery. this time i added that i'd consider a trade for a miata, because i'd really like a good car that's cheap to maintain that i can beat on at the auto-x every weekend.
i got there to meet them having agreed on the miata + $800. the front main had evidently blown on the z on the way down there and sprayed oil everywhere. but this girl really wanted a z. i ended up taking $500.
it's pretty solid. certainly not a looker, but i can relax a lot more when i drive it. and it doesn't leak, stutter or need a new starter.goodbye Z, it's been great.
 it truly has been great, and there's no doubt about it, the z is a better car in just about every aspect. but, since i've had it, all my money has gone into repairs. i hope now to be able to get some wheels and nice tires, coil overs and shock tower braces, nice exhaust and intake, and get out there and have a blast in a car that i just don't have to worry so much about. i hope to have another some day. you guys have been great.
