| I'm currently designing upgraded throttle bodies in my machining class using solid works and I don't really like the aesthetics of the stock sized bearings on my design. The bearing/seal assembly currently protrudes .250" from either side of the housing, the bearing/seal assembly measures approx. .550" The question is if any one has first hand knowledge of a different bearing/seal, that is significantly slimmer yet will still hold back boost pressures. also how important would it be to retain the set screw shown here?
