Alright, the tension is set at 1/4" at 22lbs between the crank and the water pump. There is no more belt screech, but that high pitched metallic noise is still there when load is placed on the alternator at idle. Someone suggested possibly a water pump bearing, but that doesn't seem likely as it only does it when there is an electrical load. I also tried grounding the case to the battery without any effect and also checked the ground cable for the battery and it was good. The alignment between the pulleys is good (no AMS shit on my car) The noise almost sounds like getting a key cut, except the noise is amplified and higher pitched. I'm gonna pull the belt when I get a chance and look for shaft play in the alternator and waterpump. I'll also call the local alternator shop and get there opinion on it.
