Huh? I'm not talking about the Internet. The Internet can be extremely useful (though sadly, also extremely wasteful, and sometimes dangerous). I'm talking about one company and their practices. I'm not going to link to every violation and lawsuit leveled against this company that time and again illegally uses information without user knowledge or consent and jeopardizes the safety of children, among other things. You could do that on your own time, but you're probably not interested, so you probably won't. By using their "services" you will continue to (wittingly or unwittingly) condone their practices. That is your choice. My turn now -- I love how people who don't take the time to understand a complex issue like to pull the "conspiracy" card. I never said anything about conspiracies. I also said, "if they get some enjoyment from it, then maybe that's okay" -- though, again, it is still sad to see people taken advantage of because they either don't know about it or aren't able to do anything within the service to change it. Caveat user. (I am going to completely ignore all the serious implications with regards to identity theft and fraud.) You should really do your homework first next time. Also check my profile, I might know a couple things about computers, networks, and "data". Later..
