$20 sounds cheap. I've shipped things that were smaller and lighter and less of a distance and shipping was more. I can also tell you there are times I've gotten a quote (though USPS) from my local post office for an item. Taken that same box to another post office 8 miles away and gotten a much higher quote. Best thing to do - like everyone else said - is to go to USPS.com and fedex.com, etc. put in the data and see what comes up. Last time I shipped an X pipe it cost around $35 the cheapest method. I think but that was a year ago and not going nearly as far as FL>CA
