A girl I knew and I discontinued talking on bad terms and I got that kind of message from "her" a while later. A few months after telling "her" off (even if it was her, which I knew it probably wasn't, she would've made a bad choice by messaging me to ask for money), she IMed me out of the blue to try talking to me again, so I asked about it and she had no recollection of ever asking for money... her account had been hacked.
