| One of my winter projects is to wire my 3 aftermarket gauges to utilize the stock dimmer function. i.e. I want them to dim with the factory dash lights to appear more factory. Doesn't sound too difficult right? So over the weekend I took apart my center console, found the illumination wire coming off of the body harness and with my handy test light on the lead, turned the dimmer down. As I turned the dash lights all the way down, the test light got brighter. As I turned the dimmer back up, the test light would get dimmer. Now here's my question. Why is it doing that? :P This wasn't the only wire that was switched with the lights being turned on, however it was the only one that showed any difference when adjusting the dimmer. I tested it straight out of the body harness so I know that it has not been modified before that. Any ideas? -Adam
