| Mainly because I love the 300zx so much. I am not a Maxima/Sentra/Honda guy. I like the new Altimas but if I can't afford to fix this Z, I definatly can't afford $15k for a newer Altima or better yet a 350z or 370z. I DD my twinturbo right now but after all the work on it I get around ~10mpg and I don't dare run anything but 93 octane. So it's like $40 every two days in just gas. On top of that it's putting a lot of wear and tear on a car I have a fortune invested in. However, I love the attention it gets! EVERYWHERE I go people ask me about it and compliment me on it. The '91 NA came from a rich accountant and just sat in his driveway for 2 years. He started it about 4 months ago and hadn't started it for a long time prior to that. I think it can be saved. I'm not looking for a 100% showroom restore. I would just like to clean the car up and get it drivable. I have a '07 Kawasaki Ninja but I can't drive that 40% of the year and would be willing to sell it for another DD 300zx. I am a Store Manager for Gamestop and as such I MUST have transportation to work everyday or else I lose my job (store doesn't open on time, I get fired) so having two forms of transportation all year round is important. In the end, if this car isn't worth it, I may settle for some cheap sporty DD and either part it out or sell it like it is to someone with more money then I. For now tho, I'd love to have two Z's! They are even the same color!
