I havent had good luck with Z1 either. I ordered a Greddy boost controller and a Z1 ECU from them last year. When I got it the brain for the controller was missing out of the box. I emailed them and sent pictures and even called. Well they sent me out another controller. They said that one of there employees had took it out of the box to swap with one in another customers car. I was pretty bent out of shape from that alone. When I took it to the shop to get it installed they told me I was missing the power harness out of the box too. When I called Z1 they sounded frustrated, but sent me the harness but wouldnt overnight it like I wanted them too. To add insult to injury when I sent the ECU core in they gave me the run around for a month about testing it. They kept saying they were waiting for more because they didnt want to test just one and they would do it next weekend. I didnt get my core charge back until I said I was going to contact my credit card company and ask to start a fraudulent charge investigation. I got my money back that day.
Im sure Z1 has a lot of happy customers and yes I did get what they owed me in the end. I wont buy anything else from them again. I feel they did the bare minimum for me and no company should be that much of a pain to deal with. There are other options than Z1 and I wouldnt recomend Z1 to anyone.
