| I fail to see how him ordering a new compressor vs. you buying a new compressor and giving it to him affects how Nissan would warranty the compressor should it fail. Also, is he overtightening the A/C belt? To have 3 compressors fail in such a short amount of time for the same reason means the failure is a secondary result of another problem. You didn't mention anything about whether or not the receiver/drier has been replaced at any point through the multiple compressor failures. It's a good idea to replace the R/D at the same time because debris/contaminants can accumulate in it and there's a remote chance of the debris getting pulled into the compressor and causing it to fail. In your case, I don't think this is the problem but as a precaution it would be a wise idea to replace the R/D with the compressor - especially if you purchase a new one. FWIW, my money is on the belt tension. Have you considered talking to guapo about doing the work? Good luck, Dave
