Message I felt the need to respond yesterday to your "ATTENTION" post for two reasons:

First, I wanted to make sure the OP was aware of the things that CAN go wrong or be encountered with an engine swap, and that he didn't believe it was always a simple matter of disconnect -> pull -> drop -> reconnect. I could be wrong, but I suspect he doesn’t really know what’s involved, so I took the opportunity to give him a little insight.

I KNOW it can be done in a matter of hours, if everything is good. We did that with my own motor in about 5 or 6 hours one day. But that was because the car was fresh from full surgery and everything had already been attended to; it was only a tweaked oil line that needed replacing. So I know how it CAN go.

But secondly, I realize, I was responding to your tone. I believe many of the surly and argumentative responses you get on here are also made in reaction to your challenging, antagonistic attitude. You don’t just make factual points or present a straight opinion; you feel the need to needle and insult people in the process. Clearly you get something out of a fight. I don’t know why you feel you have something to prove on a forum. Prove yourself with your actions and interactions, not with challenging words.

And by the way, Bernie’s got nothing to hide or defend time-wise, so insinuating that he’s arguing his points to cover for time charged is pointless. He charges by the project, however long or short it takes.

That's all.

I was previously a aviation mechanic and avionic technician and this car is harder to work on than Aircraft.
