| to put big fans blowing on your intercoolers. :) Slow the intercooler pipe air from about 100 mph to about 66 mph and your intercoolers will work better also (which is what the larger piping does). The larger piping is said to make the engine breathe better, but I can't calculate enough pressure drop to make much difference. The flow is about 200cfm per side, about what my shop vac puts out. Of course the shop vac air is about half the density of the air in my engine due to the boost, the hose is larger, and doesn't have as many bends, but the vac produces up to a rated 5 hp when really blocked, and really straining, maximum. I still maintain that the pipes from the air filter to the turbos are the most critical for big hp. They have to flow the most volume at a low density.
