Great discussion so far everyone, thank you. It's important to point out that I'm not just talking about numbers. Even though the 300ZX TT can best the 350Z in a quarter-mile run, and some people say the 350Z handles better than the Z (I've not driven the 350 enough to decide,) the 350Z's interior if far inferior, and many other other points could be made that you can write on paper. But... In any enthusiast car, there are a number of things that are simply unquantifiable. Personality and the pure pleasure of driving it come to mind. In my opinion, the 350Z lacks both of those things. In all the Z shows I've been to, for example, there are far fewer 350Zs than any of the other models, including the 370Z, despite the obvious higher number of them on the road. This, to me, proves that it's not as much of an enthusiast car. It's something people buy not to have a Z-car, but to simply have "a cheap sports car."
