That everyone should be taught evasive maneuvers, defensive driving and emergency situation handling (stuck throttle, blown out tire, slipping on ice) in drivers education? I know, I know, it's wicked easy for me to say now that I'm over 30, but if the driving age was raised to 18, and there was a year long course taught to new drivers covering these and other topics, the benefits would be endless. IMHO, it's not so much about being an enthusiast, although they do have significantly more automotive knowledge than the average person. It's more about being responsible for yourself, your passengers, pedestrians and others on the road.
