Since the TBs are the farthest from the pivot point and they are also amongst the highest on the engine, even if the engine lifts to the limiting factor of where the transmission tunnel and firewall meet, they will still move a considerable distance. The distance between the transmission and the transmission tunnel is in the ballpark of 2 inches. That will probably result in the throttle bodies moving vertically up to 4 inches or even more. I doubt the Z32 has a clearance between the hood and throttle bodies of much more than an inch. Ever try lifting an engine and tranny out the top of the engine bay but forget to fully unbolt the transmission crossmember? That engine will lift a few inches before the front end starts to lift with it with the Throttle bodies at the highest point.
