Message bay, if you are going to remove the motor from the bay to do it, save yourself a LOT of time and energy expended scrubbing and use WD-40. One dishbrush and toothbrush will suffice for those odd nooks and crannies. Follow up with the garden hose or pressure sprayer at a safe distance. Then reapply WD40 or something for corrosion protection once satisfactorily cleaned.

I spent more time trying to clean my valve covers with simple green, dawn dish detergent, and scrubbing than I spent on the whole rest of the motor and bay once I got cued in to using WD40. Much easier, way better results.

I no longer need to run on the Socialist Party ticket because the Democrat Party has now adopted our platform."
