Message	If not it will come loose after driving a while. The lock nut is needed with the Z1 shifters needle bearing design or any shifter that uses the bronze bushings. Also check that your shift knob is tight against the shift boot retainer ring, If the plastic retainer ring on the boot is loose under the knob it can rattle pretty bad on the shifter shaft. www.Zspeedperformance.com
