Message Not sure where that rumor started, perhaps with the fakes floating around.

There are people who have used even non coated aluminum rails with no ill effects...I would too paranoid about aluminum oxide clogging up th injectors to play with that. However it does speak volumes about the sturdiness of 6061. I haven't read about any failures with the stock system otherwise.

If you were starting from scratch, I would do top feed. While the WINfactory does offer a fully compatible SS fuel rail, I find the design to be lacking in terms of securing it. I would coat the BDE rail and use Bretts kit...hopefully he will offer it fully coated one day.
