| within the aftermarket industry - they are a well recognized company. I liken them to Gucci in that sense. Even though there are products available from other companies which excel in performance, you have to consider the typical "tuner psyche" and weigh its influence accordingly. A Rolex watch keeps time really no better or worse than any other watch available. Ralph Lauren eyeglasses wont hold a flame to any of the Ti-Ni alloy frames (the ones that will bend into a knot and not break) when it comes to durability and consumer bang-for-the-buck. But people still buy RL frames. Its a social influence- nothing more. What you actually have to look at in order to appreciate my argument is the data. Look at the compressor maps for comparable wheels (inducer/exducer). Consider the longevity difference associated with BB supported groups. Look at the dyno charts. Heck, look at the source for the quote you posted. :) I have no beef with Greddy, nor do I get any kickback from Garrett for what I say. All I am really saying here is that if you are looking for a turbo set to put on your car, it would not be advised to go with the TD series turbos - there are better turbos avaialble, not to mention all the other supporting hardware available (downpipes, exhaust manifolds that wont crack every 3K miles, etc).
