You can switch the harness with the engine in, here is what to do. Pull the plenum, since you are doing injectors. Get inside the car and make sure you remove the shifter support, so it does not get damaged when you are lowering the cross member. Lift the car, lower the cross member and get to it. This will allow the engine to drop a couple of inches for you to have access, it won't be easy, but I have done it. My preferred way is to pull the engine. Naturally you will have to realign the car after. Good luck.
