Subject	Mine is installed without the use of that bracket.

Message	I slide in the outer casing that comes with the head unit into the din opening and then bent the metal tabs out to secure it in place. I then just slid the head unit itself down into the casing. That method the outer bezel goes on over the HU. I have gauges installed in the bottom opening so I no longer have that pocket with the bracket. "torque gets you off the line...& hp gets you over the line." - TTKeeper
