Message	shortly, I should replace it...it's pretty fragile, 20 years old, and sat outside in some Japanese farm for at least 10 years through rain and snow. There isn't a main problem, but spending the $400 gives me an assurance I won't fall into a problem any time soon, and counts out many things I may blame the harness for in the future. I would only envision that the wiring is the same, minus which side the ECU is, but I do know many components are on separate sides...can't remember exactly which ones, but for sure battery (unrelated) and a few others for sure. Anything motor related is identical.
