I needed an alignment after lowering the car with my new suspension parts. I went to the place where I bought my nitrogen fill for my new tires. I had them make sure to fill all up to exactly 35psi for an accurate alignment. The tech (some kid in his mid 20's like me) drove my car in the bay and I waited inside. Sure enough a minute later the sweet sound my B&B exhaust was permeating the air. He just couldn't resist revving the Z. When he brought the car back to me he was followed buy a couple other guys and he asked "Is that a Supra?" I said "no its a Z car." He than went on to explain that he plans on buying one. The next thing they asked me was "man how'd you get your car to handle like its on rails." I told him SPL Parts of coarse. They chatted me up for a bit than I left. I went to a Firestone Complete Auto Care place with ASE certified techs for the alignment. I already personally had camber pretty well aligned myself with a ruler and eyeballing it. I called them first to make sure they knew how to do an alignment on the 300zx w/4wheel steering. They said "yes no problem". Than I asked are you sure? They replied "absolutely!". When I go out in the shop and they lift it up in the air right away one of the "ASE's" refuses to work on it. He than asked if he can trade cars with someone else and he complains to me how he doesn't get paid enough. Three or four guys give me dirty looks like I just ruined their day and argue who has to work on it. I was like WTF! Another guy says that its "exotic". I said its just a Nissan :-). In the end they got the car "within spec" but the numbers for camber don't match each side exactly. About 1.0 degree camber each corner, off by like .1 to .3 . They didn't even touch the rear camber arms. It was only $80 so not that big of a deal. I will take it some ware else after I install Tein Flex. Well almost everyone loves the Z car. People always come up to me when I'm getting gas and ask me about the car and they tell me how nice it is etc. They always think its some new car. I wouldn't blame them with all of the American cars looking like complete shit. Long live the ZTT.
