it is not hard to frame an opening and reconfigure the affected trusses to create a pocket to raise the care into.
Use lots of triangular sections. Most trusses are minimal to save cost with no real load support unless you experience heavy snows but even then they can be braced to easily handle the cutout.I have a 4 poster storage lift and don't know how I got along without it!
