Message	AC compressor: Labor was $267.50 Parts $505 (Includes $5 for shop supplies) Tax $46 In April 2009 at another shop they did the following when the AC quit working: Eval Core $320.00 Exp Valve $93.40 Condenser $263.23 Dryer $96.85 Refrigerant, oil and dye $65.00 Fittings and O rings $28.00 Gasket, hoses and clamps $186.20 Labor $549.32 Grand total: $1602 They did not replace the AC Compressor when they did the above work because it was still in good working order. They converted/updated the old Freon system to the newer refrigerant. After more than 20 years, everything was pretty much shot. The April 2009 shop was overpriced in my opinion. That is why I did not go back to them. :
