Message original alternator died. About a month ago I replaced the alternator with a rebuilt Bosch alternator.

I am the original owner of my 1990 Twin Turbo and wondered when these two components would go. About two hours into the five hour drive to Marathon Florida in the Keys my AC quit working. Spent the weekend in the keys without AC and the five hour drive back was hot. The AC went out at the worst possible time. It would have been better if it went out locally instead of on a long trip.

Monday I took the Z to a local shop and was unable to get a New OEM compressor (They are on "Nationwide back order). It took a couple of days to get a rebuilt compressor.

I also noticed that the Z runs cooler (Delfi gauge) with the new rebuilt alternator. It is hot in Florida and I always worried about driving in the 90 degree plus weather.

Total cost for the AC compressor was $815 (Sales tax, parts and labor).
