You dealt almost exclusively with Ash and some other former employees that are no longer with Z1. You came back a year or two later and dealt with Bob, who worked with you to try and resolve your concerns. I was under the impression that you were satisfied after that. That's how it was left years ago. I don't recall anything being horribly wrong with the car. I think there were some issues with drivability etc, but no major mechanical failures. Unacceptable by our standards, but not the degree of problems you are portraying. It's obvious that you think someone was "joy riding" in your car 6 years ago, and that seems to be a big part of your problem. However this is just as a ridiculous accusation now as it was then. We did a lot of upgrades on the car and Ash even did some street tuning on it. Of course it was driven! Almost all customers cars are driven, and for good reason. I have no idea what your basis is for making a judgment between your car being driven for obvious reasons and "joyriding". I'm not sure what you consider joy riding. Your car was not unnecessarily driven. We do not abuse customers cars. Doing stupid things in customers cars; burnouts, doughnuts, racing, is not something that would ever be done or tolerated. Abusing customers cars would not only be wrong but extremely counter productive for us. We've driven a thousand or so customers cars since yours. We try and put several hundred miles on most of the larger jobs. It's not always convenient to do, but we do it because we know from experience that it needs to be done. After some miles, the cars need to be gone back over before being turned over to customers. We do not charge much if anything for the time to go out and drive the cars. Only 3 people at Z1, out of the 20 employees here, are currently allowed to drive a customer’s car on the street. In the interest of getting sufficient miles on cars, sometimes they may be driven home or to go run errands, etc. If we have somewhere to go we often drive a car that needs miles put on it. No one wants to pay for our time to go out and just drive with no purpose or destination other than just putting miles on a car, although we often do find ourselves doing this anyway. It's now made clear on our service check in sheet that we are going to drive your car and most people appreciate that. If someone said they did not trust us to drive their car after work is performed, then we would decline to do the work considering test driving is often neccessary to ensure the quality of the job. This should all be obvious to those who are familiar with this type of work. Even though I disagree with the majority of your position and your approach, there is no doubt Z1 has grown, matured, and changed an incredible amount in 6 years. If you have legitimate unresolved problems then contact me directly and we will try and resolve them.
