Subject	Front bumper protectors- do they really protect?

Message	I've found four factory pieces called "bumper protectors" but I'm not quite sure what these are- the diagrams are not very explicit. Are these rubber pieces that attach to protect from bumps or is this a clear plastic film? Here are the part numbers in case they are any help: 62075-30P00 F bumper protector (lower R) 62076-30P00 F bumper protector (lower L) 62085-30P00 F bumper protector (upper R) 62086-30P00 F bumper protector (upper L)
