Message	the pulley is still being rotated. For the record on a car with minimal additional electronic modifications(No large sound system) the slower rotating alternator keeps the battery charged just fine. Yes, weight on the crank does make a big difference. Thus the reason for lightened clutches, lightened flywheels, carbon fiber/one piece drive shafts, etc.....
