Message i purchased some SZ downpipes and testpipes from Ryan (zgene4), which was essentially a wedding gift from Nazeer, Ali (Shift_thedarkside), Luis (300twinz), and Brian (LordZ)...thanks for the gift guys! being able to choose your mod for a wedding gift is awesome

I also had a slow oil leak from the back of my transmission...so we decided to pull my transmission at Ryan's place over the weekend to install the SZ parts and replace the rear main seal...thanks to Ryan for letting us use his garage...and to Eric (spdrmn15) and Mark (intel) for helping me do this job since i had never actually dropped a transmission

my JWT Genie...i was mentioning how i wish they didn't paint the back of the exhaust black...so while me and Eric were under the car, Ryan and Mark started removing the paint...you can see it here a little - all stainless

this was the first time the tranny from my car has been dropped in the 4 years i've owned her...ummm...look at that...turns out it wasn't the rear main, it was the half moon gasket...called the dealer at 12:45pm (they closed at 1pm)...they happened to be fairly close and had the part in stock luckily...we ran over there and grabbed it before they closed...talk about a close call

all you have to do to get Eric to help you with your Z is buy him an ice cream bar

the only snag we ran into was that we forgot the clutch alignment tool...Ryan and Mark eventually found one after going to like 5 auto parts stores...and we were able to finish up...the car def has a little more pep to it after...the turbos spool a tad earlier and harder and it feels great

what i didn't think about was the change in exhaust tone...i didn't think it was possible for the Genie to sound aggressive, but after the install, it has a deeper tone and and is much more aggressive at WOT...i really like the sound now

Big thanks to Ryan, Eric, and Mark for all their help with the project...i learned a lot and it wasn't as difficult as i thought in my head (which is the same way i felt after my first plenum pull)...still got a couple other kinks to work out with the car, will get to it soon
